Showdown

These two were wacky. Immature red-tail hawk and tenacious grey squirrel. The raptor was perched just above the rodent's den and watched with mild interest as the squirrel zipped about. Unexpected interaction in Prospect Park, Brooklyn NY early August '09.

If they weren't perusing CD's but vinyl, could be late '50s. The fedora-wearing lot has really taken to the street. I like hats, I think men should start wearing them with suits again.

These creatures are awesome. And it amazes me how tame and gentle they seem after centuries of persecution.

Truro dawn Pamet

This one:

So I biked to the Pamet in Truro at dawn, and took a bunch of pictures with my new digital SLR Nikon D40. Had the telephoto lens 55-200 mm. Auto setting for focus and light.

I was feeling especially creative that morning last summer. And I knew something good could come of it. I think the branches look like bones.

The picture below was captured from the platform at Kosciusko stop, J train. Had moved to the area about four months prior from Ft. Greene, Clinton Hill to be exact. I like how the sun shines on the rails.
